Miguel Vargas is a celebrated flamenco dancer, visionary choreographer, and artistic director of Miguel Vargas Flamenco. He also serves as the CEO of the Centro de Arte y Flamenco de Sevilla, a premier institution dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of flamenco.
With a career spanning 28 years, he has performed in 33 countries and over 100 cities, including iconic venues such as New York's Lincoln Center and the Royal Opera House in Muscat, captivating audiences with the profound spirit of flamenco.
In 2006, Miguel founded the Centro de Arte y Flamenco de Sevilla. Four years later, he further cemented his legacy by establishing his own company, Miguel Vargas Flamenco, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the art form and its evolution.
Miguel’s versatility is evident in his diverse projects. In 2022, he appeared on the Italian television show Quelle Brave Ragazze alongside notable figures such as Mara Maionchi, Orietta Berti, and Sandra Milo.In 2023, he contributed to the critically acclaimed film La Singlawhich premiered at the Málaga Film Festival, and presented his new production, Gypsy Soulat the Cayman Arts Festival in Grand Cayman. That same year, he conducted performances and workshops in Miami, sharing his expertise with an eager international audience.
As an educator, Miguel has mentored over 15,000 students worldwide, inspiring a new generation to embrace the passion, discipline, and artistry of flamenco. His dedication to both performance and education continues to leave an indelible mark on the global flamenco community.
